Sketch sketch sketching
Lately I've been occupying my time with a lot of sketching. I'm really trying to take my work to the next level. So, I've been spending a huge amount of time developing a new and refreshing look and feel of my artwork. I don't have a lot in digital form on my computer at this moment but I will share the few sketches that have been scanned. Good thing coming soon.

The Freshness
So I have a new website, and its almost done, my goal is to tie it in with this here blog, and keep on myself to update this thing with progress photos and such at least twice a week so stay tuned :)
I haven't updated this thing in so long that I'm sure I'll be talking to myself for quite awhile until people start to catch on... that's ok though, I'm used to it

Working hard and now recharging
For about the past 2 weeks solid I've been painting for about 18 hours a day working on my Stan Lee Tribute piece, and a commissioned piece for the president of 42 Entertainment (the number one viral marketing company). Both paintings are turning out to be two of my strongest pieces, with the commissioned piece shaping up to be my strongest work to date. Here's a sketch of it:
Right now I'm in Chicago, the windy city, and my absolute favorite U.S. City. Whenever I'm here I feel so creative and inspired, maybe because I attended art school here or because its home to the Art Institute of Chicago, or maybe because my beautiful girlfriend lives here... either way, watch out art world, Joshua Clay is in full effect!
Today my plan is to visit the art store for some much needed supplies, and then go hunt down a local coffee shop with a good vibe so I can get some sketching done. I have a big solo show coming my way in March 2008 at Distinction Gallery in San Diego, CA so I gotta get all my pieces planned out so I can get back to painting in the studio ASAP.
The Stan Lee Tribute piece is done, and I do have some sneak peaks of it that I'll be putting up here probable tomorrow. For now, I'm off to the art store!
